Superwhisper is a fantastic voice transcription app that runs the Whisper LLM locally on Apple Silicon. I’ve been using it daily for the past six months or so and it has become second nature to me to just hit alt+space and dictate messages, search terms and short notes.

At $65 annually or $165 for a lifetime license it’s rather expensive. Starting March 13ths though, Superwhisper made its debut on Setapp (affiliate link). I guess it will make a bunch of users happy to have such a polished and well working transcription app at their disposal without any extra cost.

Personally, I’ve bought the Superwhisper lifetime licesene with last year’s Black Friday deal, which I now almost regret, being a Setapp subscriber anyways 🫣
